Warm Spring Color Palette
By the Skintonic team · SKINTONIC LLC · Updated
Warm Springs have clearly warm, golden coloring with a lively, sunny energy. Hair is often golden brown, auburn or strawberry blond, skin has a golden or peachy glow, and eyes are warm: hazel, green, golden brown or warm blue. Warm, clear colors make you look healthy. Cool or dull colors make you look gray. The Warm Spring color palette leans into that golden quality, with clear colors that never turn dusty.
You are likely a Warm Spring if:
- Your hair has golden, copper or strawberry highlights, especially in the sun.
- Your skin tans golden and may have freckles.
- Your eyes are warm: golden brown, hazel, warm green or turquoise blue.
- Gold jewelry looks clearly better on you than silver.
- People compliment you in warm, bright colors like coral, turquoise or golden yellow.
What a Warm Spring looks like
Warmth is your main feature. Everything in your coloring leans golden: hair, skin and eyes. You also have a natural brightness, so you can wear colors with some energy in them, as long as they stay warm.
Your contrast is medium. You are not as light as a Light Spring or as deep as an autumn season. That middle position is why both very pale and very dark colors are less flattering than warm, medium-bright ones.

Your best colors are warm and clear, like fruit and flowers in sunlight. Use them freely, especially on shirts, tops and scarves. For a neutral base, choose cream, camel or warm chocolate instead of black.
Three easy outfits
Weekend
A Kelly Green sweater with cream chinos or jeans and brown leather shoes. Green and cream look fresh and warm together.
Smart casual
A Golden Amber shirt or knit with a camel jacket and dark warm brown trousers. A fully warm outfit that suits your golden coloring head to toe.
Going out
A Poppy Red top or dress with a cream or camel layer and gold jewelry. Red is often a Warm Spring's strongest color, as long as it is a warm, orange-leaning red.
Colors that work against you
Avoid colors that are cool, icy or dusty. Black and stark white are too harsh against warm coloring. Icy blue and cool gray clash with your golden glow. Deep cool shades like plum and cool burgundy look muddy next to your skin.
Navy can work if it is a warmer, slightly brighter navy, but warm brown is usually the better dark neutral for you.
Warm Spring or Warm Autumn?
Both are fully warm. The difference is clarity. Warm Spring is clear and bright; Warm Autumn is richer and more muted.
Test it with two oranges: a bright, clear coral and an earthy rust. If the clear coral lights you up and rust looks heavy, you lean Warm Spring. If rust looks rich and coral looks loud, you lean Warm Autumn.
Warm Spring or Bright Spring?
Bright Spring has more contrast and is slightly less warm, so it can wear very vivid and even slightly cool brights. Warm Spring is warmer and a little softer. If golden colors suit you more than electric ones, you are more likely a Warm Spring.
Quick tips
- Metal: yellow gold, brass and bronze.
- Glasses: honey, amber, golden tortoise or gold metal frames.
- Hair: golden, copper and caramel tones. Ash and blue-black dyes tend to fight your warmth.
Questions
What is the best neutral for a Warm Spring?
Cream, camel and warm chocolate brown. They are softer than black and match your undertone.
Can a Warm Spring wear black?
Away from the face, yes. Near the face, warm brown or a warm navy is more flattering.
Is Warm Spring the same as True Spring?
Yes. Some systems call it True Spring because it is the warmest, most typical spring.
